Zevenbergen
Golden TulipZevenbergen is located in the municipality Moerdijk. The municipality Moerdijk characterises himself especially by its vastitude and diversity of landscape. Nevertheless that here are a large number of walking- and bicycle routes around. The hotel is situated on a walking distance of the sociable centre of Zevenbergen where every Thursday afternoon the week market takes place.
Willemstad
The fortification cities Willemstad and Klundert are in the direct surrounding. Especially Willemstad, with her sociable port and beautiful monumental streets, draws in the summer season much public. Also to the banks of the Hollandsch Diep, a little bit outside of Willemstad, is it underneath a parasol with a fishing rod in your hand, good to stay. Walking along the city ramparts is an experience!
Klundert
He who nature loves its heart can pick up in Klundert. Here too a part of the town ramparts is complete. You can still taste the atmosphere from the rich history. De Biesbosch
The national park The Biesbosch is established in 1994. With a surface of approx 7100 ha is it one of the biggest national parks in the Netherlands. The Biesbosch is a wet area with hundreds of creeks, small islands, willow plantations and particular plants and animals. The Biesbosch is a beautiful surrounding. Other than looking and enjoying, you can do more. Walking, canoe, circular trip on a cruise boat and several excursions belong to the possibilities. Roosendaal
On the spot where bunch- and heath land fields meet each other, on 15 kilometres distance of Golden Tulip Zevenbergen, is Roosendaal. The centre of Roosendaal has a beautiful shopping area with a very wide offer. Also here several times per year large events which draws thousands of visitors, such as the tour “De draai van de Kaai” and the half marathon, take place.
Bergen op Zoom
The fortification city Bergen op Zoom is certainly also worth it, narrow streets, old small squares and a lot of visit monuments (600 pieces). The most striking monument is the Markiezenhof (to see the photograph) former palace of the Gentlemen and Marquises from Bergen op Zoom. Moreover there are several nice shops, restaurants and bars.
Breda
The other way, consider from the hotel, there is Breda. The city, which in 2002, its 750 year old existence has celebrated. Now there is situated the biggest Holland Casino from the Netherlands. When you visit Breda, don’t forget to visit the superb Onze Lieve Vrouwe church on the large market and the castle of Breda. Also the Begijnhof cannot be skipped at your visit.
